Tout fraîchement rénové, le théâtre en plein air de Zwickau (ville natale de Robert Schumann) accueillait pour sa réouverture ce week-end une nouvelle adaptation du Tour du Monde en 80 jours (mise en scène de Karl-Heinz Ahlers). De vendredi soir à dimanche soir, quatre représentations ont été données. Malheureusement la météo n'a pas toujours été très clémente, mais la pièce a néanmoins connu un franc succès puisque plus de 3.000 spectateurs y ont assisté.

Germany: an outdoor weekend with Jules Verne.Quite recently renewed, the open-air theater of Zwickau (Robert Schumann's home town in Germany) welcomed for its reopening this weekend a new adaptation of "Around the World in 80 days" (staged by Karl-Heinz Ahlers). From Friday evening till Sunday evening, four representations were given. Regrettably the weather was not still very clement, but spectators it are nevertheless moved numerous and the play was a real success. An ultimate representation will be given this evening Monday at 7 pm.

Doing any theatrical production outdoors is always a challenge (and something on the scale of this even more so). What a shame therefore that the Welsh have not had a chance to see something like this as well
