" The Esperanto, it is the surest, the fastest vehicle of the civilization! " (Jules Verne). The Espéranto-Limousin association proposes from Monday, November 12th and until 14, in Limoges (France), a bilingual exhibition French-Esperanto, on the wealth of Jules Verne's universe. The occasion to remind that if, in some months near, Jules Verne cannot assist the first congress Esperantist who took place in Boulogne-sur-Mer (France) from 7 till 12 August 1905, he was nevertheless Honorary president of the group Esperantist of Amiens and did not hesitate to express his sympathy and his support for this universal language. As show of it the quotation above, extracted from "Voyages d'études", his ultimate unfinished novel, and also the famous photo (above), for which he rests with a brochure on which we see the emblem of the Esperanto : the star in five branches.
Jules Verne
